Golf Journeys will meet you at the airport and transfer you to our luxury accommodation, nestled away in a pleasant forested area overlooking the second hole of the Karen Country Club. You can spend the afternoon relaxing or if you’re feeling energetic, head out for 9 holes, a spot of tennis, squash or lawn bowls. The country club has a number of facilities on site.

As dusk settles over the savannah, gather beneath an expansive starlit sky for an unforgettable welcome dinner. Revel in a feast of local flavors while enchanting performances captivate your senses, setting the stage for the adventures ahead.

After breakfast, you’ll make the 5 minute walk through a wooded forest to the Karen Country Club, Kenya’s 3rd best golf course. On the way, keep an eye out for an elusive monkey or two.

Established in 1937, this prestigious club offers a lush 18-hole golf course designed by the renowned Neil Crafford. The course is surrounded by indigenous trees and blossoming gardens and provides a challenging yet picturesque golfing experience.

Situated in the heart of Kenya’s capital, Nairobi National Park offers a unique wildlife experience as the only safari park in Africa where you can see a city skyline in the back of your safari pictures. It is also one of the rare sanctuaries where the majestic white rhinos roam, providing a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to witness these incredible creatures against an extraordinary urban backdrop.

In the afternoon, you will have time to relax at your lodge or take advantage of the activities available

In the evening, we head to dinner at Kenya’s best Japanese restaurant, Haru. This is our favourite restaurant in Africa.

Today, you’ll explore the sights and sounds of Africa’s largest slum under the guidance of the life changing Mirror of Hope (MOH) team. Visit the home of one of the students the MOH work with, meet their family and learn how to cook a delicious Kenyan feast. This is the perfect opportunity to immerse in Kenyan culture, practice your Swahili and get to know some of the most resilient and remarkable people on the planet.

Starting the day with a group breakfast and some friendly banter at our lodge. We’ll then catch a private bus to Kenya’s 2nd best golf course, Muthaiga Country Club, for a full day of golf.

Founded in 1913, Muthaiga Country Club stands as a historic and exclusive haven in one of Africa’s busiest cities. Nestled amidst manicured gardens, this prestigious club offers a distinguished 18-hole golf course designed by Peter Matkovich. The course’s layout combines lush fairways with challenging bunkers and strategic water features, providing an immersive golfing experience.

After breakfast, we’ll board our private bus for the 1 hour drive to Kenya’s 4th best course, Sigona Country Club.

Located in the Limuru highlands, the Sigona Country Club stands as a picturesque retreat for those seeking tranquility and sporting excellence. Established in 1938, the club boasts a challenging 18-hole golf course designed by the renowned Tom Simpson. The course unfolds against a backdrop of rolling hills, tea plantations, and indigenous forests, creating a scenic yet enjoyable golfing experience.

This morning we’ll make our way to the airport for our flight to the Masai Mara. For your conveinece your large suitcases and golf clubs can go straight to vipingo ridge allowing you to travel light to Masai Mara. We recommend using your carry on bags from your international flight as your checked bag for this flight. They should be big enough to fit 5 days worth of clothing. Otherwise, bring a duffel bag.

After our flight, you’ll check into the Mara Maisha Camp, a pinnacle of five-star luxury glamping nestled in the heart of the Maasai Mara. Here, elegance meets the wild, with opulent tents offering unparalleled comfort and privacy amidst breathtaking views of the savannah. Spend the day exploring the Maasai Mara, or for an option $850 you can add on a once-in-a-lifetime experience sees you high in the sky for sunrise, as you glide across the open Savannah in search of Africa’s most exotic animals. This is a fantastic opportunity to see animals from a completely different point-of-view.

The experience runs from 4am - 10:30am and the in-air experience lasts for about 45 - 60 minutes. After your flight, you will enjoy a bush breakfast on the picturesque Savannah plains of the Masai Mara, typically under the shade of a Balanite tree.

Breakfast includes a glass of champagne, eggs-to-order, sausages, fresh juices, fruits, cereals and, of course, sparkling wine. You can opt to skip this experience if you wish and instead go on a game drive.

Historically the Maasai are grazers with large herds of cattle, sheep & goats. Today is your chance to learn about and immerse into this unique culture.

Take a tour around the Boma, see inside a local mud hut, and meet these interesting, nomadic people.

After your cultural immersion with at Maasai Boma, we’ll have a short game drive on the way to the airport for our flight to Vipingo. Upon arrival, and after check-in, you will have time to relax and enjoy the amazing facilities at Vipingo.
