I've been fortunate enough to play golf throughout Asia over the past 15 years, and if someone asked me where I'd happily return every single year, my answer would be Da Nan, Vietnam.
People often ask me what the best golf course in Asia is. The truth is, I don't think it's about one course.
What makes Da Nang so special is the collection of courses. Within half an hour of each other, you've got completely different championship layouts, all capable of being someone's favourite. One day you're playing through rolling links-style dunes, the next you're surrounded by the mountain, and then you're back beside the coastline taking on another world-class layout. I've taken plenty of golfers here over the years, and everyone seems to walk away with a different favourite.
Then there's something that's often overlooked.
The holiday just works.
You're not spending half your holiday sitting on a bus battling traffic like you do in so many parts of Asia. Everything is close. The airport, the golf courses and the resort are all within easy reach, so you spend more time enjoying your holiday and less time getting there.
Finish your round and before you know it, you're back at the resort with a drink in your hand, watching the sun disappear over My Khe Beach—regularly recognised as one of the world's best beaches. It gives the whole week an easy rhythm that's hard to beat.
Choosing where we stayed was just as important as choosing where we played.
We looked at plenty of options before settling on Fusion Resort & Villas Da Nang, and I honestly couldn't picture a better home for Invitational Golf Week. It's right on the beach, the facilities are outstanding, the rooms are spacious, and after a long day on the course, it's exactly where you want to come back to. It's the sort of resort that makes you slow down, relax and enjoy every minute of the week.
If you've got the time, I'd also encourage you to think beyond just the tournament.
We've created an optional extension to Hoiana Shores, one of the most spectacular links courses you'll ever play you can read more about this experience by clicking here. Alternatively, for the gents, we've also timed this week to connect perfectly with our Pattaya Men's Golf Week which is sure to be a lot of fun, you can read up more on this combined event here. With direct daily flights from Da Nang to Bangkok, it's incredibly easy to turn one week into two and experience some of the very best golf Asia has to offer.
This tournament has been on the drawing board for a long time. We've waited until everything felt right—the golf, the resort, the schedule and the overall experience. I can't wait to welcome you to Da Nang and show you why this part of Vietnam has become one of my favourite golfing destinations anywhere in the world.
